The Kingston-Ulster Airport is a privately owned public-use airport located in the Town of Ulster, near the City of Kingston, New York.

Please see more information at Kingston-Ulster Airport and AirNav

Kingston-Ulster Airport has been a public-use community airport for approximately 50 years and is a gateway connecting Ulster County with the national air transportation system. Light aircraft use Kingston-Ulster Airport for business and personal transportation, flight training, law enforcement, national guard training, medical evacuation, and recreational flying.

A comfortable pilot’s lounge is available, which affords a place to relax, watch television, access the internet or just spend time with fellow aviators.

Beginning in the mid 1980’s, significant improvements have been made to the airport, including runway widening and standard lighting with approach path guidance lights, additional taxiway, navigational aids, construction of hangars, improved ramp and tie-down areas, environmentally safe fuel storage, and obstruction removal.

Based on existing and forecasted future traffic volume, the noise impact analysis shows that Kingston-Ulster Airport is compatible with all types of surrounding property, including nearby residential areas. However, airport management has voluntarily implemented a noise abatement program which is mandatory for pilots, and includes designation of preferred runways, run up locations, arrival and departure procedures, and procedures to help minimize noise impact.

The airport has been dedicated to public use IN PERPETUITY. It receives no local funding and is a tax-paying entity. The Kingston-Ulster Airport is poised to serve Ulster County into the next century!
